Privacy and Terms of Use

When you join the Astronica Social Network (ASN), you'll be asked to provide your Name, the Date, Hour and Geographical Location of your Birth, the Country you presently live in (not your home address or that of your place of work, nor your phone number). We will also inquire about some of your personal preferences, which you can keep private if you wish, such as your age or sexual tendencies (if you are an adult)). The ASN guarantees not to sell, rent nor give your personal information to anybody.

The ASN uses said information (a) to prepare a survey that includes all of your inborn attributes, abilities and tendencies called your "Astronical Profile", (b) to devise the different "Affinity Reports" we offer to our Members and (c) to provide you with information that derives from the analysis of your personal data. This data may also be used to present to each Member personalized advertisements that may interest him or her.

Now and then, we will use your personal data to communicate with you. This could be in the form of a "Welcome E-Mail," or to let you know of any changes you yourself make to your personal data, to send you your forgotten password (if you ask for it), to notify you of "Friendship Requests" from other Members, etc. It's important for you to know that unless you give your E-Mail address to another Member, no one will be able to see it. Not even if you send them an E-Mail from your Astronica Page.

One of the most convenient resources that you'll find on your Astronica Page is the "Hobbies, Sports and Other Interests" section. If you fill in this form, other Members that share the same interests will be able to locate you and possibly request your friendship. You'll also be able to look up people according to their interests. This information may also be used by the ASN to show you ads related to your interests.

The Astronica Social Network is designed to be used by people of all ages. Still, there are sections that will only be available to adults. For example, only people over 18 years of age will be requested to disclose their sexual inclination (the answer is optional), information that will be used to prepare a Members "Soulmate Affinity" report. If this report is requested by a minor, it will not include said sexual information. This does not mean that the reports have adult content, but, from our point of view, there is a legal age that we want to respect, as stipulated by the Laws of every civilized country. Our intention is to respect all of our Members, but especially those that are underage. This is why we have zero-tolerance toward Members that wish to molest the younger part of our community.

We won't tolerate people that encourage any type of discrimination, be it racial, sexual, religious or political. Nor will we stand for any type of abuse or bullying, or for offensive acts against ethnical customs, places, people or animals. Any Member that tries to arouse any of this type of behavior will be promptly expelled from the ASN.

Please note that all information given by the ASN is offered as a suggestion or advice that a Member may accept or not. Although most of the information comes from the analysis of astronical conditions that have proven to be trustworthy, its acceptance and use remains at the discretion of each Member. The ASN administration cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience that may arise from the usage of said suggestions.
