Everything in life happens in cycles, be it a natural event or an occurrence within human society.

Every cycle consists of energy-forces that favor the following order: (I) an awakening of ideas together with the initial planning of their realization, (II) the foremost materialization of those ideas, (III) the good usage and further development of the materialized objective, and lastly, (IV) an evaluation to remove any useless or obsolete part, together with the preparation of what will help bring forth new ideas. Please keep in mind that at the end of each cycle, a new one automatically begins to repeat the four steps mentioned over and over, forever.

In other words, during the first stage of an Astronical Cycle the prevailing energy-forces favor the inception of new events, products and services, which are to take form during the ongoing cycle; it's a time of gestation. The forces of the second stage favor the actual materialization of the objectives that were planned during the first stage; it is a time of first growth. The influence of the third phase favors the further development and good use given to the yields and fruits of the realized ideas; it's a time for maturation and proliferation. The fourth and final stage of the Astronica Cycle favors the evaluation of what has been done and brought forth, so as to discard obsolete and useless elements, and to determine what is to become the "seeds" of future projects; it's a time of purification, finalization and selection. This last part of the ending cycle prepares everything for a new beginning.

The analysis of the Astronical Cycles gives us the possibility to know when each stage begins and ends, as well as the tendencies that will prevail during each phase. With this information, we can adapt our actions to what is favored by each stage. By knowing and applying this agenda, our efforts and actions will be much more effective and successful.

One of the most important cycles that Astronica monitors is the Helios Cycle. This cycle regulates all that concerns the definition and expression of our Main Purpose in Life (MPL).

Allow me to clarify that the focal point of the Helios Cycle that was active when you were born is what determines your MPL (i.e., your Specific Function). Whereas the focal point of any following Helios Cycle lets us know the kind of activity or the aspect of life we should all be attending to at a given moment, concerning the acting out and development of our particular Purpose in Life.

Thus, we see that at a certain moment we should work on, say, what we emotionally feel about our MPL. And that at another moment we should deal with, for example, the physical or material aspect of that Purpose. At still another time, we'll have to attend to the intellectual side of that central aim, and so forth.

What's important is that we become aware of what to do and when to do it, in order to reap the maximum benefits as the cycle goes from one phase to another. Here's where Astronica can help us all.

Each Helios Cycle spans one sunspot cycle. As this cycle has a variable length, so does the corresponding Helios Cycle. A sunspot cycle can last from 9.5 to 14 years. Today's average is around 10.5 years.

Along with the Helios Cycle, Astronica has discovered the existence of an "umbrella" cycle that includes all the others: the Triple Cycle. This cycle contains three consecutive Helios Cycles, and lasts from 28 to 36 years, with an average duration of around 31.5 years. As you can see, the duration of the Triple Cycle is variable, depending on the length of the three Helios Cycles it contains.

The Triple Cycle has its own periods of (I) gestation and design, (II) initial shaping and growth, (III) fructification, and (IV) closure. This is why the different stages of the Triple Cycle can benefit the conditions of the Helios Cycle, if and when both phases coincide. For example, when the first stage of the Triple Cycle coincides with the first stage of the first Helios Cycle it contains, there will be an intensification of all that deals with the inception, initial design and planning of the objectives we want to give form to (as happened from mid-1976 to mid-1978). In consequence, the influence of the different stages of the Triple Cycle can intensify or reduce the effects of the Helios Cycles it contains. The reduction of effectiveness occurs when, say, the Helios Cycle favors "external action" (stages I and II) and the Triple Cycle favors "internal action" (stages III and IV). This happened from the end of 1998 till mid 2000.

It's convenient to study the Helios Cycles that have occurred during our lives. By doing so we'll become aware of the pattern of abundance and scarcity we have lived through.

Likewise, we'll see how during certain stages we've had to (mostly) attend our inner self, our spiritual side and the infrastructure of our objectives, and that during other times we've had to occupy ourselves with the actual materialization of our projects, by having had to pay more attention to the physical side of our lives.

Again, what's important is that we deal with each aspect of our aims at the proper time. If, for example, we look toward the "outside" (the material aspect) when we should be looking toward the "inside" aspect (the spiritual side) of our lives (or vice-versa), the results of our efforts will be very poor. When this happens, it's as if life's circumstances are against us, for even the simplest task becomes extremely difficult. But if we proceed in synchronicity with the ongoing influences, everything becomes much easier and we'll bring forth better results. This is when the "Goddess of Good Fortune" seems to smile at us, granting us all the good luck we need.

For example, during the final quarter of the Helios Cycle N° 23 (a numbering system created by Astronomy to identify each sunspot cycle), a stage that lasted from the beginning of the year 2003 to the end of 2008, any intention of opening a new business or of getting new clients, became very difficult. Most of the effort invested either had little effect or was a total loss of time and money. It would have been better to have left things alone, allowing them to proceed at their own pace, without trying to force them to work. Still, it was an excelent time to evaluate the infrastructure and basics involved in what had been accomplished up to that point, in order to prepare for the new beginning that was to occur during the first quarter of the Helios Cycle N° 24.

Something similar happened during stage IV of the Helios Cycle N° 20 (from the beginning of 1971 to mid-1976), as well as during stage IV of the Helios Cycle N° 21 (from mid-1982 to the end of 1986), and during stage IV of the Helios Cycle N° 22 (from the end of 1992 to end of 1996).

Try the following experiment. Make an effort to remember if during the years (1) from 1971 to 1976, (2) from 1982 to 1986, (3) from 1992 to 1996, and (4) from 2003 to 2008, your financial situation and the material side of your projects wasn't at its lowest level. Specially if we compare those results to what we produced from (5) mid-1978 to mid-1982, (6) from the end of 1988 to the end of 1992, and (7) from the end of 1998 to the beginning of 2003, all periods of material and monetary bonanza. Ask anyone you lived with or knew during those periods of time and you'll see how they'll readily agree.

Furthermore, the scarcity of period (1) was greater than that of period (2), and that of period (2) was weaker than that of (3). Period (3) was very similar to period (1). Likewise, period (5) was much more productive than period (6), and (6) was still better than (7). This is all owed to the effects that the Triple Cycle (the last of which spanned from mid-1976 to the end of 2008) had on the different stages of the Helios Cycles it contained.

Just as the shortages of period (1) repeated themselves during period (4), the bonanza of period (5) will repeat itself during the coming period (8), that is, from the beginning of 2010 till mid-2013 (this forecast is being made on May 23, 2009).

Taking a closer look at period (8), we see that from the end of 2008 to mid-2011, what stands out is the foremost inception, the initial formation of the platform that is to sustain all our new projects and aims (specially those related to our Main Purpose in Life or our Ideal Line of Work). It's a time to concentrate on the initial plans, designs and basic idea that sustains the infrastructure of all that we are to bring forth during the new Helios Cycle (which, by the way, coincides with the beginning of a new Triple Cycle). It's possible that during this period we still won't see the level of bonanza that we all want. But, for sure we'll see it during the second quarter of the new cycle (from mid-2011 to mid-2013).

But, how can we know what to do during the beginning of these new cycles (Helios and Triple)?

It's actually very simple. It all depends on how old you are during this period of time (end of 2008 - mid-2013). If you're less than 40 years of age, your good fortune will most probably come from dealing with projects that are directly related to your Ideal Profession or Line of Work. Whereas, if you are 40 or more, your bonanza will surely come from attending to what is related to your Main Purpose in Life, that is, by enacting your Specific Function.
